Monique DeLozier Frost Since 1997, Monique has provided therapeutic massage and bodywork. Her passion for healing though integrated care techniques led to over 1,000 hours of continuing education and nearly a decade of hands-on experience in modalities such as Reflexology, Swedish massage, Chair massage, Sports massage, Therapeutic massage, Deep Tissue massage, Acupressure, Thai massage, Myofascial Release and Cranio-Sacral therapy.
Monique was able to enter the therapeutic touch industry full time in 1999, leaving behind a successful 10-year career in transportation and logistics in both the trucking and exposition industries Limitless exposure to businesses offered first-hand experience to the occupational mechanics and burdens surrounding so many industries.
Extensive corporate exposure and experiences in the vast Mid-Atlantic region proved a firm foundation and spring board for consumer expertise and entrepreneurial skills that enabled Monique to successfully launch Compass Massage & Bodywork, A new direction for the mind, body and soul, which incorporated in 2000 and opened its first location in the downtown district of Ocean City, New Jersey. Compass Massage & Bodywork specializes in massage by offering therapeutic massage and bodywork services to the immediate community, as well as in corporate offices. Monique's passion for massage therapy and integrated care are apparent in the diverse ways Compass has been successful in creatively delivering high standards of services.
Hands down, Compass rapidly became one of the most active massage practices in the Mid-Atlantic Region, gaining service and marketing opportunities by providing massage to both local and international sports teams, creating traffic-building and relaxation areas for trade shows and conventions, and establishing mini-spas in luxury apartment buildings, hotels and B&B's.
Commitment, enthusiasm, dedication and professionalism earned Monique immediate and continuous leadership accolades and media attention, not only for herself, but for various members of her team. The Philadelphia Inquirer, The Press of Atlantic City, NBC News, Health Today, ESPN Radio and several massage industry publications are just a few examples of media exposure, including citations from the U.S. Congress and the State of New Jersey for Compass' involvement in providing volunteer massage services after September 11th in New York City.
Monique's quest for diversity, education, acceptance and advancement of the therapeutic touch industry led to the creation of an annual convention, Worlds of Wellness Advanced Integrated Care , a multi-disciplinary trade show and convention designed to create both educational and networking opportunities for professionals in the health and wellness fields. With a successful launch in 2003 and over 1,000 registered attendees from as far away as Ireland and France, Worlds of Wellness marked another pivotal achievement for Monique and her team, highlighting visionary abilities in the industry as well as her tenacity to bring extensive long-term goals from concept to fruition.
